About Us
Hi, we're Paul and Sally. We were looking for something other than the usual RV because we couldn't find any RVs well-built enough for our off-road and boondocking adventures. So we searched and searched, looking at ambulances, semi trucks, etc. but each was either too expensive or wasn't in too good of shape.
Finally, we found a 1991 Technical Rescue Fire Truck that suited us perfectly! Not too big, and not too small. We brought it home and got to work on removing the bench seats, ceiling rails, and a few other miscellaneous items that we wouldn't need.
Next, we started cleaning it up, adding ceiling boards, sheets of plywood on the walls, and painting the inside. After that, we added foam flooring tiles to give it a cleaner look (and to help insulate against the cold and heat as we travel). We also added 4 solar panels (560 watts each) and Starlink to the roof, beds, a mini-split (for heating and air conditioning), a diesel heater (as a backup), an incinerator toilet, a security system (with a camera on the outside of each side of the fire truck), shelves, cabinets, a small bathtub, a hidden litter box for our cat, a TV, a convection microwave, a refrigerator, a stovetop, a sink, and a faucet (even though we haven't plumbed in the water yet).
We're still building our social media channels with pictures and videos, as well as making improvements and upgrades to the RV, so please "stay tuned!"
